This week Marbella received an incredible visitor- Michelle Obama. The First Lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha both came to the Costa del Sol to spend their summer vacation in Marbella. Here are the highlights of their trip:


Wednesday, Day one: Mother and daughter along with many Secret Service agents and friends, strolled along the old historic cobbled streets of old town Marbella (Casco Antiguo), shopping in many of the beautiful small shops on the way including one of our partners "Samira Handicraft"There were many numbers of onlookers including police, reporters tourists and cameramen all trying to get a photo of the Presidents wife.

Thursday, Day two:  Michelle and Sashas next stop was Granada. They walked around and visited the Alhambra Palace in Albaicin. The 16th century cathedral is famous for its narrow winding streets and small squares. The Obamas also treated themselves with some ice cream from a parlor on the main street Gran Via. Later in the evening Mrs. Obama saw a Flamenco show in the Old Sacromonte.

Friday, Day three: Security closed off a public beach in Marbella outside of the Villa Padierna Hotel, where the Obamas stayed, so Sasha and her friends could enjoy a little sun.

Saturday, Day four: Mrs. Obama took a trip to the beautiful and historic town of Ronda and visits the House of the Moorish King.

Sunday Day five: Michelle Obama and daughter, Sasha, end their trip with a visit to Mallorca to lunch with Spain´s Royal family.
